If you ask my mother, she’ll tell you that I’ve always been the creative type. I wrote my first children’s book at the age of 8 - a story about “Teartop the Dinosaur” and unbeknownst to her, I mailed it off to Random House Publishing and waited patiently for my book deal to materialize. (it sadly never did - sigh)

Fast forward to 12, I started my first “business” crafting decorative potpourri filled straw hats and selling them door to door and at church craft fairs. I sold enough hats that spring to purchase a round-trip ticket to visit NYC and the entrepreneur in me was born.

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.” ― Osho

I’m a White Chocolate Mocha Latte girl and my guilty pleasure is watching true crime documentaries. Pull up a chair and I’ll tell you about my humble beginnings…

I’m originally from Miami, Florida and have a multi-faceted background in marketing, administration, interior design, construction and finance. I was the founding Co-Owner, Operations & Marketing Manager of Legacy Ale Works, a successful 3.5 BBL Craft Brewery & Pub located in Jacksonville, FL. I recently retired from the operations side to pursue my passion in marketing & branding.

I possess an Associate of Arts degree from Florida State College of Jacksonville and have applied all aspects of my experience to the start-up and operations of the brewery. It truly is the largest project I’ve taken on to date and am ready for my next big challenge.

Operationally, I developed our complete employee onboarding package, established business SOPs, handled all business and contract negotiations and worked aggressively to monitor cash flow, reduce expenses while finding unique and creative ways to grow revenues. I’m excited to pass on this knowledge to other businesses looking to do the same.

From the initial logo design to our current event calendar, social media presence, website design, SEO and in-house streaming video ads, I’ve been engrossed in all aspects of marketing to increase the business’s brand awareness and am proud to have grown the business 230% in the first 5 years (including 2 nasty Covid rebound years).

“I’ve always treated every company I’ve ever worked for as if it’s my own. I’m grateful to now know business ownership and realize how valuable a trait that really is.” ― Liz

So, what now?

I’m looking forward to applying all the skills I’ve acquired (plus a few more I’m working on as we speak) in a new role. I’m searching for a business who is passionate about their people and services so I can help grow their brand and take their business to the next level. I’m hoping to be challenged and placed in a position that will push me to learn more and grow.

So, What’s Next?
